Direction and Structure
Having a strength program designed to meet your goals means that if you put in the work, you’ll get there. Doing the same workout with the same weights week in and week out won’t get you far. I will provide training that employs progressive overload techniques. Stronger, fitter, healthier.
You’ve got someone there waiting for you to show up. You’re a hell of a lot more likely to come to the gym when you’ve got a session booked in. I will ask you what you’ve been eating. I will check your My Fitness Pal app, I will message you to check on your daily step goal. I will ask you if you've been having protein with all your meals. I will make it as difficult as possible for you to slip up.
Most of my clients tell me there’s no way they could have pushed themselves as far as they did with me; when they’re alone. You’re going to get much more out of 45 minutes when you’ve got a PT next to you. I’ve become great at getting my clients to a point where they have exceeded their own expectations on their capabilities.
Education, guidance and advice
Do you know how many calories you should be having per day? Do you know how to manipulate the structure of your caloric intake in order to enjoy the foods you love? Do you know what to do when you stop losing weight on the same calories? Did you know that fruit and vegetables are carbs? 😉 I am constantly researching science based evidence regarding training and nutrition. My knowledge is constantly expanding and I am to provide the most up to date advice to my clients.
I have a wealth of knowledge on mindset, sleep, nutrition and habits. I’ve experimented with a variety of different tactics and can give you the cons and pros of many different possible solutions in order to achieve optimization. I’ve read more books, listened to more podcasts and read more scientific papers than I can count and am very passionate about helping my clients improve their lifestyle and general happiness.
I genuinely consider all of my clients friends and become invested in how your week is going, where you’ve gone out to eat recently and what your Netflix recommendations are 😉 I also want you to enjoy your workouts. If you don’t like burpees – we don’t do burpees. I’m a strong believer in fitness being fun and tailoring each session to suit your preferences and preferred training style. I always encourage my clients to speak up about what they’re enjoying or not enjoying throughout the sessions. I won't yell at you, I won't push you until you feel sick. I won't make you do things you hate.
